Your Business Has Been Deemed 'Unfit'

Listen up because the rumor mill has been churning again.

Three day's ago, I'm sitting in my hotel room in San Diego at 6:30am when my cell phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Woody, hey it's Jerry West, hope I didn't wake you?"

"Nope, been up for an hour or so."

Jerry, "Cool, hey look; you want a good laugh this morning?"

"Sure."

"Ok, meet me downstairs, we'll grab a coffee."

So I head downstairs wondering what this guy had to say to me before 7am. While the motto of the US Army may be, 'Get more done before 7am than most people get done all day' it's certainly not mine, my motto is, 'I get nothing done before 7am unless I have coffee… and even then I'm lucky to move a few feet.'

Jerry was waiting for me and asks me to sit down for the news.

He said that Google was sending out mass emails now telling publishers that they are shutting down made for Adsense and arbitrage players’ accounts on June 1st.

I admit it; I was skeptical but also a bit nervous. I've made a LOT of money with a very simple process from Adsense over the years and to be shut down was a bit extreme.

At this point, Jerry was interrupted by some other people that recognized him so this gave me an opportunity to call my project manager. I asked him if we've received any such letter and he said no. Good deal. But that got me wondering… how bad is this problem or is it just Chicken Little screaming again?

I suspect it's the same old 'The Sky is Falling' routine, but time will tell.

Alex Goad wrote an article on this very topic today that's worth a read.

When in doubt, be skeptical.
