You are a data technician
Ok, you are a nerd. I am a nerd. Anyone in product sales should be a nerd.
Why? Because we are all data technicians and that is just an eloquent title for 'nerd'.
We are not in 'product sales’; we are in 'data manipulation'.
Do you get that?
The data we develop (leads) is far more important than any one time product sale.
I may expand on this later, but I want this realization to sink in first.

Now here's the caveat, if you agree, give one way data can be used to enhance your business. If you disagree, give your reason why.

Hey Woody,
Give me a choice of the keys to the bank of englands vault or the keys to googles data and I would choose google every time.
Imagine the what kind of data google holds and that would give you the key to untold riches.
Plus it would be a lot easier carrying a hard drives full of data out than sacks of cash ;-).

The info you recieve from your marketing efforts can provide
1) customers who may buy from you multiple times
2) ideas to improve your product
3) ideas to narrow your target audience
4) ideas for new products
5) ideas for other peoples products for your list
6) customers who send other customers
7) and of course people to read your blog and stroke your ego hahahahhahaha
