It's Monday morning at 8:28 am. I'm finally in the frame of mind to write a bit, so here it is…

I left for a conference in Austin on Thursday and came back on Saturday.

While I was gone, I knew I wasn't going to be writing to the blog, so I hired someone to do it for me. This person came from a great recommendation and assured me that they could write in my voice and with authority on online marketing.

They asked me for a little direction, so I instructed them to promote a new free report by my buddy Ryan Deiss. I told them to slant it as 'Squeeze pages are dead'.

Rather than do that, they wrote that one time offers were dead and rather than saving it as a draft pending my review, they hit the publish button. It was a few hours before I was notified of what had happened. Needless to say, I deleted that post ASAP and decided not to continue my working relationship with this person.

Moral of the story… find someone that can follow directions when hiring for your business.

On to the event…

This was a fun event. It always is when you have like-minded people all come together in the spirit of networking. I met a few new friends and even a few people that could not stand me (hey, I can't win them all).

Gauher Chaudrey is an impressive dude, keep an eye out for his stuff.

Craig Perriene is perhaps the nicest dude I've ever met.

Dr. Mike is a nut… but we all knew that already.

Jeff Deidrick is a very cool dude… we split bread several times together.

Ryan Deiss and Stacy Kellum came up Friday night for drinks; that's ALWAYS fun.

Matt Bacek has the funniest stories I've heard (that dude can get a drunk crowd crying).
