Lessons Revealed from Day 1

We begin Day 2 of the Secret Profits Workshop today.

To say that Day 1 was incredible is an understatement.

But that's really not the point of today's post.

My point today was revealed to me by talking to many of the attendees last night over drinks.

First… take action. I've harped on this before but no action equals no results. Even if you only have 10 minutes per day to apply to the progression of your business, so be it. It's still directed action.

Second, lose the distractions. Do you want to see the REAL distractions that plague you throughout the day? Use http://www.rescuetime.com/.

Third, create procedures for your business. Take note of all activities, document them, and create checklists out of that. Hire someone competent to complete your checklist. You can often find the people you need for $8 per hour. What's YOUR time worth… think about that.

And lastly, face fear head on and overcome it… its called courage. Have the courage to spend the money needed to get the results. Still scared? Good… you WILL lose money, but it's all part of the game. Be smart about the losses and test your systems. Constantly refine and ensure that money lost provides a real usable lesson.

Those in attendance here are walking away with knowledge that will make some of them a lot of money (if they apply it). The lessons provided in this post will likely mean more to them, but I hope with sincerity that you can use it as well.

I love the third point: but it's hard sometimes to find the right people. We tried hiring but always got people who wasted our time. What should we do?

InvestorBlogger,

Have a read of Michael Masterson's "Ready, Fire, Aim" because he shows you how to find "Stars" and "Superstar" employees. Masterson confirmed for me the hunches I've had for years on how to find great people.
