How to thrive past Taxes

In my world, 'TAXES' is the ugliest word ever spoken.

I hate them and they invoke moments of rage in me on April 15th of each year.

But I manage to pay them as I'm sure you do.

Fortunately, it's NOT the end of the world and I will do my best to show you.

First, plan ahead. Stop focusing on silly one-hit money makers. If you are making money from Adsense, then I'm talking directly to you.

Second, when planning your business, have the following components… lead generator (report, video, etc.), product for sale, and a continuity based upsell. The lead gen will give you people to market to, the product sales will pay for advertising, and the continuity will  be you profit center.

Third, advertise. Chances are you are feeling the squeeze, so money may be tight. If this is the case, focus on Web 2.0 and article marketing. Both are free and both can be highly effective (just don't expect same day results).

If you have a few bucks to spend, start an Adwords campaign and get a feel for how your lead gen is converting (or not converting) and revise as needed. An easy way to do that is with Muvar (that's what I'm using right now).

Keep in mind that it's better to focus on one product and make improvements than it is to create 10 and give just a little attention to each.

Remember that with a solid plan (and a simple one at that), Tax day won't ever be as stressful again.
